The main attraction in the season is A Bottle of Wine and Patsy Cline, by Artistic Director of A Play, A Pie and A Pint, Morag Fullarton. The show which makes its Edinburgh debut in the venue’s Main Theatre, celebrates the life of the legendary country singer, starting with her humble origins in Virginia. Gail Watson will play the lead, singing Cline’s greatest hits, including Crazy, Sweet Dreams and Walking After Midnight. Watson also starred in Doris, Dolly and the Dressing Room Divas at this year’s Fringe. The show runs from Thu 30 Nov to Sat 3o Dec, and tickets include a wee bottle of wine!
There will also be a full programme of comedy in the venue’s Basement Theatre, starting with Dylan Moran on 23 November, the first of two dates on his latest tour, Grumbling Mustard. Fringe shows George Egg: DIY Chef and Scott Gibson: Like Father, Like Son will get a winter reprise. Other names to be playing the basement will be Jay Lafferty, Jojo Sutherland, Scott Agnew and Gary Little, while Fred MacAulay will be doing his In Conversation chat show The Basement Theatre will also be hosting LGBT+ nights.
