Mystery and intrigue surround the latest production from intriguing site specific theatre company 19;29, which takes the audience on a journey to a secret location outside the city to enter another world, and discover the secret of Threshold.

Using multimedia and assorted audio effects, the play presents the notorious legend of Bluebeard and looks at the different ways it has been told and retold from several altered perspectives.

19;29 state that they specialise in producing work “in undiscovered or under-explored spaces”, and with the performance area still a closely guarded secret, we can only speculate on what lies in wait for those brave enough to take the challenge that 19;29 have set. With previous critically acclaimed productions taking place in a neglected town hall, an abandoned market depot and two separate productions of Sarah Kane’s Blasted performed in hotel rooms in the UK and USA, you should expect the unexpected with Threshold.
