How do we survive in an ever changing world? How do we continue when we are forced to confront horrific or intimidating events. Survival is not just for the fittest, it’s for anyone, even at their most vulnerable. In association with Royal Court Theatre, three-time Fringe First winners Chris Goode and Company presents a powerful performance of experimental storytelling that analyses the social and political forces that construct who we are and examines the world that we live in now – and how we survive in it.

Following the suicide of a young gay man and the murder of Lee Rigby in 2013, Goode tells the story of seemingly unconnected characters in and around London, paralleled with insights into his own creative process and the impact of these events on their lives. The stage is bare, except from a number of fans and a microphone, where Goode performs. Lighting and sound compliment the story, but it’s the delivery that remains at the core with Goode’s enigmatic and endearing personality. He gives voice to the underdogs and weight to the relatively small moments, relationships and conversations that can make a huge difference. It is those, after all, that keep us going.
