Edinburgh’s newest theatre company, Cathartic Connections, make their Fringe debut this year with a stinging attack on the state of modern Britain and the economy with the premiere of Pale Moon.

Written and directed by rising star Andy Henry, the is set in an altogether different UK, twenty years after the devestating collapse of the world economy.  Pale Moon follows two neighbours, Buck and Arth, as they struggle to adapt to a world that has changed beyond recognition, and features business men who are more rat-like than human in their financial and personal dealings. But as both men try to survive with very little money or luck, they come to realise that they deserve much more from their government.

This piece of physical theatre uses text and movement to explore the extremes of human behaviour by revealing what everyday people will do in order to live when there’s no money left for those that need it most, Pale Moon showcases raw, fresh talent from a young local company. One of the few Scottish companies on the Fringe calendar this year, this production is your chance to see some exciting new work from an undoubtedly home grown troupe at the world’s biggest arts festival.
