Cabaret / 90 min / £20(£17)/ 14+

Showing @ The Famous Spiegeltent, 3-26 Aug (not 6,13,20-21), 21.30

In past Fringe seasons, La Clique was the show everyone was talking about. Its absence since 2008 has been keenly felt, despite many of its performers launching highly successful solo shows. Now that the fringe programme is awash with cabaret of all varieties, the show that was at the forefront of the movement is back to show how it’s done. Some of the original acts may have moved on, but they have been replaced with equally striking performers. From the wisecracking magician Paul Zenon to the Agent Lynch’s uproarious Bavarian milkmaid, the outstanding comic trapeze duet by the Wau Wau Sisters to the velvet vocals of Mikelangelo, there is not a weak link in this chain. La Clique is 90 minutes of cabaret as it should always be.
