We have now finalised our team for this year’s Edinburgh Festivals and are currently not actively recruiting for new writers.
However, we are often on the look out for year-round contributors from the parts of Scotland we don’t reach (i.e beyond Edinburgh!) Areas where we could particularly use more writers are:
– Theatre in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee and Perth
– Film in general
– Music in general, especially folk, jazz and new Scottish artists
– All artforms in the Borders, Highlands and Islands
If any of this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. Drop us an email stating where you are and what you’d like to cover, together with a couple of examples of your writing.
Ideally, we’d like to see previous arts reviews you’ve done, but failing that, any public-facing writing will do – a blog, academic work, press release. We can’t take everyone but we’ll endeavour to reply to everyone.
But please wait until September, as we’ll be busy with the Fringe until then!
Please note, with online publishing being what it is, the whole team is currently unpaid, including editors, so we can’t help if you’re looking for paid work.
