Ending the festival with a decided whimper, this feeble homegrown effort has less laughs than a reel outtakes from Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. Taking the basic plotline from Shaun of the Dead, the story follows a “loveable” geek obsessed with medieval culture attempting to get back with his ex, while in the subplot his friend, Ewan Bremner (in same old Spud-mode) hooks up with a fellow Star Trek fan. So much for laughing with the film, but as for laughing at it: Eastenders-reject Paul Nichols privies us to some of the worst acting ever seen on the big screen. So, so, so, so bad.
