It’s a straightforward concept: Leo is trapped in a room onstage. The action is simultaneously projected onto a giant video screen – which has been rotated 90 degrees. So the audience can compare and contrast as Leo gradually discovers that the old rules of gravity no longer apply. It’s a premise that proves far more amusing than it should. When the novelty starts to wane, new tricks are introduced to keep it fresh. The final quarter, which seems slightly out of place in such a playful production, hints at something deeper. Perhaps we’ve just seen a philosophical musing on boundaries and freedom, but most of the audience were probably having too much fun to notice.
