By his own admission, Sarfraz Manzoor is no comedian, but the journalist, critic and broadcaster has managed to produce a heartfelt and often very funny show about his life from his Luton childhood to the birth of his own daughter with every step guided by the Tao of Bruce Springsteen. Manzoor’s love of the Boss is no affectation and it’s clear that the Springsteen’s songs and lyrics have been an important part of his life, providing the soundtrack to both the good days and darker times. No professional, but a very gifted amateur, Manzoor’s show is a gentle, affectionate mix of hero worship and biography that’s leaves you with a smile on your face and a desire to seek out the works of the prophet of Asbury Park for yourself.
