Showing @ The Famous Spiegeltent, 8, 13 Aug, 20.00

La Clique’s trashy trapeze artists the Wau Wau Sisters are notorious for their solo shows. This is a cabaret where anything can happen and gentlemen in particular attend at their own peril. Their new show sees them as bare as the title indicates for much of the hour, rambunctious and deliciously unselfconscious. It’s a ramshackle affair that feels as though it’s being made up on the spot, which could be frustrating but is more often exhilarating, punctuated as it is with the sisters’ infectious enthusiasm and rampant sexuality. The payoff comes at the end, where the Wau Waus show off trapeze skills which are second to none. In contrast to the seeming chaos of the rest of the hour, this performance is polished and professional – but still hilarious.
