The Lady Boys Of Bangkok have been a popular fixture of the Fringe for many years, first at the Meadows, and now at Fountainbridge, and upon arriving, a huge crowd was already in place – another complete full house!

The show starts with the host, who arrives on stage in a sparkly tuxedo and announces the show which is about to begin with a stage full of the Lady Boys, all glammed up and looking stunning as they perform to some great hits including Beyonce’s Run The World.

The show then turns from party music to comedy as Lady Boy Ollie does a routine that’s funny beyond belief. She goes up front to men in the audience, blowing kisses and getting them on stage, where she ties them to a chair in a hilarious bondage sequence.

She arrives again later with the famous dwarf and funny man Trevor who does a scene from The Full Monty movie with four other men. It’s sincerely side-splittingly funny.

Later on, you get Rihanna, Culture Club, Ariana Grande and Nikki Minaj. They even dress up, doing more legends including Michael Jackson. It’s an evening of full entertainment, with great Thai food at very reasonable prices as well.

After a short break, we get the Lady Boys doing the Bay City Rollers as a giant Scottish flag is draped over the audience, and more great music from the stage and around the arena, before ending the evening with the Runrig song Loch Lomond.

As the evening ends, the crowds go crazy & party. This has been an evening that will leave the audience looking forward to what the Lady Boys Of Bangkok have in store next year. The audience certainly love the whole show from start to finish.
