Marking their return to the Fringe following their success in 2009, Popcorn Comedy explodes into Edinburgh this year for another helping of their unique and eclectic mix of film in The Best of Popcorn Comedy.
Performed over 23 nights in blocks of three with several interchangeable comedians, this one hour show is different because it also consists of the very best online comedy videos of the last twelve months.
Created by TV comedians Holly Walsh and Jon Petrie, this fusion of live acts and viral video has featured on BBC2’s The Culture Show and won Time Out’s coveted Critic’s award. With previous acts including the likes of Peter Serafinowicz, Tim Key, Graham Linehan and Josie Long, Popcorn’s reputation amongst comedians and fans is well deserved. The 2010 line up includes Simon Munnery, Sarah Milligan, Pappys and Cardinal Burns to name just a few of the diverse and popular contemporary comedy performers.
Coming to Edinburgh just weeks after their run at The Latitude Festival, Popcorn will then move on to the Reading and Leeds Festivals without stopping. Undoubtedly one of the hardest working comedy shows around, The Best of Popcorn Comedy promises to be a visually stimulating and rib tickling production that shouldn’t be missed.
