Musselburgh Amateur Musical Association (MAMA) kick off the new year with their annual revue at The Brunton from 18 – 20 January. Entitled Celebration!, the show will take audiences on a “party around the world”.

The company will perform some of the best loved tracks of the last 70 years. Songs featured include Singing in the Rain, Stupid Cupid and Galway Girl.

Musical director for the show is long-time MAMA member Laura Paterson, who has helped the company learn over twenty new songs in three months. Choreography is by Lisa McLeod, who has been with MAMA for the past four years. Completing the production team is revue co-ordinator, Graeme Aitken, who directed the group’s recent production of Anything Goes.

President Jane Renton urged locals to support them: “We all love a good party, so we’re really excited that MAMA will be continuing the festivities with Celebration! The cast have been working hard over the past few months to put together a great show for your entertainment. Please come along and support our talented local company!”

MAMA are also working towards their annual spring musical, Calamity Jane, which runs from 12 – 14 April.

Tickets for both shows are available now via the The Brunton box office.
