As we noted last year, Edinburgh’s improvised comedy scene is flourishing, with the TBC Improv Theatre at the Monkey Barrel acting as the hub for an eclectic and talented pool of comic talent.  The Banshee Labyrinth is also getting on board; “Scotland’s Most Haunted Pub” acting as an entirely apt venue for an evening of improvised horror story-telling this Saturday.

Alex Staniforth has sold out his shows at Edinburgh Horror Festival in both 2016 and 2017.  Fielding suggestions from the audience, the actor, story-teller and city councillor (surely a role with a treasure trove of horror stories in itself), will spin a tale of terror and laughter from scratch.  Expect “gory-telling” at its finest in the perfect location.

Produced in association with Edinburgh Horror Festival, tickets are pay what you like.  Doors open from 19:45 at the Cinema Room with the show beginning at 20:00.  Tickets are available from www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/stand-up-horror-improvised-gory-telling-tickets-44911202616.
