The Fringe is now entering its third week and some audience members may be feeling a little, well, jaded. Luckily those clever folks at Crying Out Loud have a solution. It lies within a 40-foot shipping container and costs less than a pint. Welcome to the ultimate chill out experience that is Daydream.
Trade your ticket for fifteen minutes in the shipping container which can be scheduled at any time during the day. You can go in with others in your group, but this is designed to be a relaxing experience so solitary dreamers are well catered for. Leave your shoes at the door and crawl into the large tented bed that sways gently from the ceiling. Lie back, close your eyes and let the soft lights and varying soundscape wash over you.
There is little guidance here so the experience will be limited only by your own imagination. You may journey to a tribal campfire by way of a summer meadow, or you may just lie in a swingy bed under a blanket for a bit. Either way, it’s probably a more transcendent experience than you will find in a pint glass.
