A mild manner bank employee is having a bad day and decides to take matters into his own hands. Frederik (Fabian Hinrich) is an angry man on a short fuse. He starts with a little light fingered thieving, tries his hand at few heavy breathing phone calls, breaks into his boss’s house in the middle of the night and robs him, threatens to give his line manager a knuckle sandwich and beats up a gang of skinheads. He turns from a meek banker into an unstoppable psycho overnight.
All because someone nicks your parking space? Your idea of fun? Sadly no. Gravity completely misses the plot. This is no white knuckle ride of a thriller, it’s more like a go on the bumper cars with 2 Unlimited blaring in the background. There are some genuinely tense moments along with an absorbing soundtrack, but overall it’s formulaic and looks like someone’s been using the QuentinTarantino’s Guide to Film Making For Dummies. It may look slick and stylish, but it feels rather like a greatest hits album from the last decade with a mash up all your favourite deepest darkest disturbing scenes copied and then glued together in a lazy cack handed way.
