Calling all gin lovers! Hendrick’s Perilous Laboratory for the Absorbment of Natural Teachings (P.L.A.N.T) is conducting a genuine and most scientific experiment where you can make harmonious music through cucumber collaboration and cocktail consumption.

Hendrick’s Laboratorians  lead you through the immersive experiment to make music through collaborating with a set of cucumbers, which are rigged up to a piece of software that when triggered creates different sounds and atmospheres. The sounds are programmed and designed in such a way that when all played together, a verdant and cacophonic composition worthy only of only the most curious of ears is created.

In true Hendrick’s spirit, it’s a little peculiar but lots of fun, and there’s the added bonus in that you are rewarded with a wee libation for your efforts.

It’s on at Assembly George Square Gardens, Edinburgh from 3rd-13th August from 12:00 – 23:00 and even better, entry is free with no ticket required.
